the big day
Friday was simply AMAZING!! I know that it is so cliche but it truly was our dream wedding - TRULY!! My only regret is that I did not take more pictures but as you will read in a bit it really does not matter.
We started the day in the River Street Inn. Jordanne and Saige worked their butts off making everyone look beautiful - they did such an INCREDIBLE JOB!!!
All the girls had a robe with their name embroidered on it as well as a pair of flip-flops:
Sticky kept sending things to the door (what a guy I have) like these flowers:
All the lovely ladies (please do not judge the ones of us who do not have makeup on yet):
Much Better (Jordanne, you ROCK!!!!):
Ash, my MOH, and I
Miss Stephanie looking so mature:
And then we were off - finishing touches, first meeting with Sticky, pictures and a trolley ride - all in less than 3 hours. It was so much fun!! I tried to absorb every moment. It sounds like a whirlwind but honestly meeting Sticky before the ceremony made all the difference. Not only did we have a private time for us to see eachother and say all the things that we were thinking but we did not feel anxious or pressed for time. It was just so relaxing to be with him before the ceremony - I can really not explain why but I just felt special that we were able to do that.
I do not have any pics as of yet but the ceremony was so romantic and really emotional!! I knew that I would be and I had an idea that Sticky would be as well but I really did not think that either one of us would be as emotional as we were. It was BEAUTIFUL!! I am so glad that I remember it - so many brides say that they do not but I can truly remember most every second from it. The feeling that I had during that moment was indescribable. I really do not like to cry but I do, I am a very emotional person, it is a part of my makeup that I will never be able to change. But when a moment enters my life when I am so overwhelmed with joy that I cry - well, there is nothing that compares to that. That will definitely always be in the top section of the best moments scale - it is Numero Uno as of right now!!
So after the tears were dry and we had a moment to catch our breath the feast and merriment began. While the guests enjoyed cocktails and hor 'duerves we were led to the Poseidon Spa for a private moment. It was so great - truly a nice touch from our Mansion event coordinator, Jeannie Green. The Spa is INCREDIBLE - which is really not that shocking b/c everywhere you turn in The Mansion you keep saying WOW!!
After the lovely moment we headed back up to the Ballroom for our Reception. The toasts by Kurt and Chuck were TERRIFIC!! If anyone has those on tape let me know!! The food was YUMMY!!!!! Of course we knew that it would be and it truly was DELICIOUS!! The Coconut Groove Band rocked the house as well!! If you are ever looking for entertainment East Coast Entertainment is the way to go. They truly hooked us up. The reception was fun - it seemed to go by so fast. We were pretty zonked by the end though so it was perfect timing for us.

THANK YOU to everyone who made it to Savannah and to those of you who were not able to attend - you were in our thoughts the whole time!! The evening was purely magical and we could not imagine being married any other way!! I hope that all of you enjoyed the evening as well!! We cannot wait to see all of your pics - hint, hint!!
In case you are wondering about the picture comment earlier in this post I was not worried about taking enough images b/c we had the GRAND SLAM of wedding photographers to shoot our day - Garrett and Joy Nudd!!! These guys are not only terrific photographers but absolutely AWESOME people as well!! They worked their tails off on Friday just to turn around and shoot some Day After Photos with us the very next morning - plus, they had to drive all the way to Chattanooga, TN for a wedding they were shooting on Sunday!! I am exhausted just from writng that sentence - I cannot even imagine how exhausted they were/are. They have become great friends of ours in such a short amount of time - truly could not imagine the day without them!! Be sure to check out their BLOG for a sneak peek of our images!!
Here is a pic I hijacked of the four of us:
Thanks Again to everyone!! I am just a little BUMMED that it is all over!! I guess Sticky and I can always Anniversary there - just not with 75 of our closest friends and family (unless you guys want to come of course)!!
