grandpa moe

The first time I heard the name Grandpa Moe was on March 13, 2004 during a Best Man speech given by Sticky for his brother Chuck's wedding. I noticed that day how much Sticky's face lit up when he said that name. You could see the love without even knowing the two of them very well. I was lucky enough to become Sticky's girlfriend after that special day which meant I was also lucky enough to get to know Grandpa Moe. So many of the wonderful traits that I love about Sticky have come directly from Moe. His wit, adventurous spirit, generosity and acceptance of others are just to name a few. Moe is not just Sticky's Grandpa, he is his cherished best friend.

Monday, May 29th 2006, Grandpa Moe peacefully passed away. I cannot begin to express my feelings on how much I am going to miss that kind, warm man. In the short time that I knew him he has left me with some precious memories. And of course he has left Sticky with enough memories to talk about for a lifetime - and every time that he does I know that his face will light up just like it did the first time I heard him say that name. You will be so missed by so many Moe.

Sticky's cousin and also cherished best friend, Ed, has an extremely eloquent post on his and his fiance's blog about the life of their Grandpa Moe. Please visit and read about the amazing life this man lived.

lexi.one year

Sticky and I want to wish Lexi a HAPPY ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY today! You are very special to both of us. We cannot believe that you are ONE already!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH and hope that you have a VERY SPECIAL DAY TODAY! See you Saturday!

As many of know you, last weekend was the first time that Sticky played the role of a second shooter at one of my weddings. If you check out the Photography blog you can see some of his FANTASTIC work from the wedding. I am posting here b/c before the wedding (last Thursday to be exact) Sticky had a little practice photo shoot with his adorable niece, Lexi. Here are a few to check out:

I think she looks like a teacher here!

Who's going to pick all those toys up, Lexi?

Too cute!

We also had the chance to hang out with one of our favorite couples last weekend, Krista and Andy. Krista is actually Matron of Honor in our upcoming wedding. I think that everyone who reads this should email them and ask about the possibility of a new Honda plant coming to VW. They absolutely love talking about it to everyone (she's going to kill me). I love you, Krista!

savannah.trip two

As many of you know, Sticky and I had a FANTASTIC time touring our adopted wedding city with my parents (we missed you Steve and Sandi) last weekend! One of the first things that we did was visit the Mansion on Forsyth Park. I had so many questions going into the Mansion and our coordinator, Jeannie, answered every single one of them for me - right down to hair and makeup! This really put me at ease for the rest of the trip. She was also kind enough to order us a round of champagne to celebrate our upcoming nuptials. So of course the picture that you see is the first of many that Sticky and I will have from the wedding site (some of them will not have cocktails in them hopefully). I was excited for the wedding before the trip but now I can barely stand it. I promise to everyone that comes that you are going to have a fantastic time in this beautiful city. And the Mansion is going to be a great place for you to celebrate with us! We are looking at one more trip back to Savannah in the fall before the big day. Hopefully Steve and Sandi will be able to join us this time.

I had so many images that I wanted to share that I decided to make a little collage. If it does not show up very big on your screen you should be able to click on it in order to make it larger. Savannah is a very easy city to get carried away photographing - as you can see. I would love to shoot a wedding there someday!

Happy Birthday Brandy J

That's right, May 11th is Brandy's birthday. So we figured we'd better go have a couple martinis to celebrate. We found a cool place called Club Soda in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana near Headwaters Park. The place was classy and the food was delicious. They also had a man playing live piano. He was dang good. Thanks for letting me celebrate with you Brandy. Happy Birthday. You're a beautiful girl and a beautiful person. I wouldn't trade you for the world. Next date, Savannah.

gary and stacey.tie the knot

What a FUN weekend! Gary and Stacey GOT HITCHED!! Here is a quick run down of the festivities: A Plinko Board was constructed, BeanBag was played, Gary wasn't nervous (and not sweaty at all), Stacey looked GORGEOUS, Sticky was Bob Barker, three of the groomsmen dressed up like women, Yeller cut up a rug on the dance floor, Cecelia danced on a table and this was all just Saturday! I could go on and on about this wedding it was so much fun. Sticky and I want to thank Gary and Stacey (and their families) for throwing such a great party! I was also lucky enough to be the photographer for this special day so if you would like to check out some of those images you may visit Brandy J Adams Photography Blog.

stephanie.birthday girl

IT IS STEPHANIE ADAMS'S 10TH BIRTHDAY! I am getting this post up way too late in the day - I hope you can forgive me Stephanie! I cannot believe that my niece is already 10 today - in a few years she will be driving! An Aunt could not ask for a better niece than Stephanie. She has this way of making a person feel special to be around - no matter where or why. Stephanie also has this unbelievable wit - she could verbally spar with anyone of any age. Along with that wit comes her excellent writing skills. She writes the best stories and newspapers (last I knew the paper was running for about a $1 an issue). All in all Stephanie is the best and I could not be a prouder Aunt. And of course Sticky cannot wait to be officially called "Uncle Sticky". So this one is for you Stephanie - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

tay and jayden.sisters

This past Sunday Sticky and I ventured over to Chickasaw for a little photo shoot with the Huelsman Family. All in all the shoot was successful. Keeping that in mind, I could not resist posting these images. As you can see there were a couple of moments of tension. Sticky and I cannot decide whether it is the face that Tay is making or the way her fist is that is so darn funny about that second pic! Both of the moments pretty much speak for themselves! We just had to share these with our friends and family (especially the ones related to these two little angels). If you would like to see more check out the Brandy J Adams Photography Blog!
