A date has been set...

Alright folks it's me, sticky boy. Brandy and I have officially set a date to tie the knot. Drumroll please.... February the 23rd of 2007. Location.... The Mansion On Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia. That's it, there's no turning back now (thats what i tell Brandy).

Ok now about those pics I took of Brandy shooting. The only reason I got any decent ones is that I had one helluva teacher and a beautiful subject (and her equipment). I have to admit that I was a little nervous about all this, but i rather enjoyed myself. Be prepared for my next photos...

A little heads up for anyone who hasn't heard the word on the streets. My cousin and good friend, Easy Ed (I mean Tom), and his fiance Amanda have a new blog to check out. Ed & Amanda's Blog

sticky rammel.barber and photographer

Well I certainly am a lucky girl. Not only is Sticky excellent at his day job but he has a hidden eye for photography as well. I asked him to take some shots of me in action during a shoot yesterday and he did a FANTASTIC job! I love the angles on these! Check out the shadow on the first one - great eye! I had hesitation on whether or not to put these up b/c he makes it look too easy. I could not resist bragging up my man though! I guess I will need to really boost up my work before people start hiring him over me!

sad

A little before 5:30AM this morning Sticky heard a scream or a yell. He opened up the shade to see the house across the street completely engulfed in flames. Luckily everyone made it out ok but the house is destroyed. There is a more detailed story on the Van Wert Independent. Here are a few pics that I took:

great email from chad and nicky...

This made us smile so we thought we would pass it along to all of you! Congrats guys!!

Email from Paige Hess (Age 1):

I've had a very busy day. I started the day off at Aunt Kiley's where I got to play with Jayden and Taylor that was awesome. Then Mom and Dad came to pick me up and told Aunt Kiley something and put a new shirt on me and Kiley started talking real loud. Then we went to see Grandma Karen, Papaw Tom was in his truck, when we walked in I seen Buffy and took off my coat and showed my shirt to Grandma. When she read it she got real loud and started hugging everybody. I sure wish I knew what this shirt said? Then Uncle T came in and he started laughing but not in a mean way it was funny. Then Grama called Papaw, he got loud too. All of this loudness was really starting to make me tired, so instead of visiting everybody Daddy said we could e-mail you a picture of this dang shirt everyone's so excited about. I just don't know what it means though. Do you think you could figure it out and tell me? Mommy and daddy say I have to take a nap now before we go to my other grandma's house later.
Paige

P.S. I sent you a picture of the shirt so you could figure it out for me.

great dinner at the cork n cleaver

Sticky and I had a fantastic celebration dinner last night at the Cork 'n Cleaver in Fort Wayne, IN. We started of the evening with some fantastic martinis - Sticky had a Grey Goose and olive juice with anchovy stuffed olives straight up and I had a caramel apple. We skipped out on the appetizer since the entrees looked huge. I had a fantastic salmon with a bleu cheese sauce and he had sea bass with the best aioli I have ever tasted! We both enjoyed smashed rum sweet potatoes with our meal. But I would have to say the most adventurous part was that we both chose to have the salad bar (everyone commented on how the have a really nice salad bar - and they do) in which we tried caviar and anchovies. They were actually pretty good. I have had salmon roe before but this caviar was different and delicious! I can definitely see how a little goes a long way with that stuff. All in all it was a great evening. I know there are other Cork 'n Cleavers around the country and if you ever get a chance to go you should.

happy anniversary chuck and mel

Today is Chuck and Mel's 2-year wedding anniversary! I had the honor of being their wedding photographer and it turned out great in more ways than one! I met Sticky on that very special day and it is hard to believe that we are now sitting here 2 years later engaged! Thank you Chuck and Mel for inviting me to be a part of your day! I can't wait to have you guys be a part of ours! I don't know if all Rammel men meet their future brides at weddings but Chuck (met Mel at a wedding) and Sticky seem to think it is the way to go. Here is an image from their wedding and also some pics of the beautiful flowers that Sticky surprised me with today!

Engagement Party!!!

Sticky and I had a GREAT time at our engagement party this past Saturday. It was a nice little preview of our two families blending together for a party. We kept it all family so that it would not be too large and I think that it was the perfect size. Everyone seemed to have fun! Thanks to everyone that came and especially to Kim and Randy Adams (my -Brandy- parents) for hosting it. Thank you to Sandi and Kurt for the awesome game for the kids. Thanks to the Hess's for the beautiful tree (and TJ for the booze). I also want to thank the women already in my family for their special gifts and the soon to be women in my family for their special gifts as well. I really cannot wait for everyone to get together again! By the way Sandi that cake was YUMMY!

Baby Cummins #2 on the way!

Congratulations Kim, Carl and Maddie (Gunner too!)! I guess Kim Adams will just have to make a miniature dress or suit for this one! Can't wait!

SAVANNAH, GA!!!!!!!!

We are back - and missing Savannah already! We almost missed our flight and kind of wished we would have! Savannah is absolutely beautiful (looking through these pictures it looks like we spent most of the time at a bar but we promise we really did see the rest of Savannah!) and one of the friendliest cities we have ever visited. As far as the wedding we have not chose a location yet but we have narrowed the list to a few options. One of which is The River Street Inn which is a beautiful hotel that sets right on the river and in the middle of the River St action (by the way it is a "no one leaves the bar without a traveler" policy in Savannah!). We enjoyed our short stay in this Inn and it was a great experience. We are also very much interested in the Mansion on Forsyth Park and The Westin. We will have a decision soon hopefully! The picture of the man standing in front of a bar called The Warehouse is Dave Whidden. He is a terrific bartender and an even more terrific person! He was a great help to us down in Savannah and we would like to thank him for that. The couple in the photo is from Nebraska (Steve and Nancy) and they love their college football just like us. They were a great couple to talk to - so much fun that were part of the reason we were running late for our flight! If you guys are reading this we want to thank you for the round of refreshments! The fountain in a few of the images is the fountain at Forsyth Park. It is much more amazing in person. All in all the images do not do Savannah justice at all. I could live their for ten years and never be able to capture all of the beauty of this city. I can't wait to have all of our friends and family down their!
